Oh that is just awesome. The Onion does satire so awesomely well it’s like a real news site.
Fortunately for young Lucas, the fundamentalist orientation is curable. Ex-fundies like me are always happy to provide gentle, caring guidance to those who wish to leave the superstitious lifestyle.
Of course from my POV, the odd thing is that where and when I went to highschool and college, being fundamentalist was a bit like being gay
. (OK, not that rough — but definitely non-mainstream).

I dunno. Maybe it’s because of my flirtation with Music Education when I was in my 20s, but the line about Swing Choir was what cracked me up.
I don’t care what them fancy head doctors say, Christian fundamentalism is NOT inborn! ‘Taint natural! Just look at the plumbing! It’s a lifestyle choice and aint nobody gonna change my mind!

I don’t care what Christians do in private but why does this boy have to flaunt his inclinations in my face!
It’s not enough that they have to have their unnatural beliefs, but they go around flaunting them too! And of course they go after young boys, you know how those people are.
I just hope the poor parents aren’t blaming themselves.
Here in Canada, fundamentalists are even allowed to get married.
