Will Phillips, the 10-year-old boy who refuses to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance until there is truly justice for all (including LGBT people who want to get married), is getting some wonderful media support!

Kyra Phillips on CNN had a message for anyone who is bullying Will:
Beautiful.
Keep it up, Will! We’re all inspired by you ![]()

Too bad that all the vid’s commenters on YouTube seem to come from Townhall.com. *shivers in disgust*
I don’t know if you were aware of it, but you have to be in the US (and only the US, I believe) for those first two videos to play. All I’m seeing is ‘Sorry, Videos are not currently available in your country’ (that’s the UK). It’s quite frustrating.
What an inspiring kid. And his dad looks like a great bloke too.
‘Dorkwads’? *tries not to scoff*
Phillips seems unusually mature for a 10-year-old! *like*
Joules – I’m in Australia and they all played fine.
Maybe you Poms aren’t getting the vids as punishment for beating us in the Ashes this year.
Joules, Have you tried using a US based proxy? http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html
What an articulate child! Keep it up Will; your determination is encouraging.
@Jerad:
Same problem from me (unlucky Canadian). I’ve tried several American-based proxies from the site you linked, but the videos then give me a “no config URL” error message or something.
As Joules said, “quite frustrating”.
Until now, Mick Foley has been one of my heroes. Now – He’s a god. Cactus Jack Forever!
You can watch Comedy Central shows on the Comedy Network website in Canada. The only issue is that we don’t know exactly when these clips were aired…
If you could put the date up whenever you link to the Daily Show from now on, it would help.
Worked for me and I’m in Sweden.
All those mean little bullies are going to be begging Will for a job one day.
I like the fact that Foley took part in this. He’s been very open about his Christianity and belief in Jesus over the last few years. To see him stand up for the kid, even if it’s just promotion for TNA and I know some folks feel that is all he is doing, sends a positive message that not all Christians are homophobes.
Foley is Good!
Thanks, Joules
I used to think our host was a force for good. I now realise that he’s become very lazy. I’ve commented on this problem many times and asked that he removes such stuff and tells the providers why. It never happens. I’m about to remove the site from my bookmarks. I suggest everyone else does too.
Geoff,
Are you suggesting others remove this site (FA), because of a few links that don’t work in all nations? Are you referring to Hemant as the lazy host?
If so, I want to express my total disagreement. Hemant is the farthest thing from lazy and inattentive, but even he can’t guarantee all links work worldwide. Removing said links, when most readers can view them, is not a good solution. I do see FA as a force for “good”, and think the site is interesting and well managed.
Maybe you are talking about something else entirely, but this is what I got from your comment.

If the links don’t work, JFGI
I love the love this kid is getting – greatness.
Apologies for the links not working. No real way to test how they’ll work in another country while in the US.
wow. A CNN anchor actually expressing a (personal) opinion!
and one that’s supportive of homosexuality……and in the United States!
That’s enough to make my day and blow my mind!
Hell, yes, he is!
Stewart and Colbert are always great but I loved the CNN too. Dorkwads, lol! She’s got their number.
I hope there would be the same support if a kid refuses to sing an Obama praise song.
Dorkwads, indeed!
I’m in Spain and the links work fine. And I’ve sent it to some of my friends in the UK and they say they work fine too.

[...] other students calling him a “gaywad,” he continues not to stand. He’s getting a lot of media attention, too. (The Jon Stewart clip is particularly humorous.) He was interviewed on CNN, and he [...]
