Do You Know What Time It Is?

For the American readers, at some point this morning, in whatever time zone you’re in, the time will be:

04:05:06 07/08/09

(4:05 am, 6 seconds, on July 8th, 2009.)

You know what the significance of that is?

There is none. None at all.

Just thought I’d point that out.

Now, if only someone could tell these people that…

As The J-Walk Blog points out, how come the reporter in the article just quotes the psychics as if they’re credible? At no point do we hear that these people are delusional, wrong, or misguided.

I understand the need for objectivity in journalism, but can’t you just say numerology is bullshit without worrying about appearing biased?

Nope, don’t see any special meaning in it, but still it is more or less neat.

Something to start a conversation with, that’s all.

May I just point out that in the rest of the worl today is in fact 08/07/09?

Just to let you go of that american-centred view of yours… :-)

Yup, we will have that amazing time pattern next month, lol :D
That news site should consider that they are making fools of them selves by posting such garbage. :)

Well, the moment came and went while I was writing a post, and you know what? Absolutely nothing special happened! The numerologist said,

Although the alignment may not mean anything specific, it could be a good day to do something for yourself and others, said Betsy Carlson, a Palm Springs tarot card reader and numerology expert.

Good idea, but then every day is a good day to do something for yourself and others. I’m going to do something for myself right now, go to bed. I’ll do something for others tomorrow.

ISO standard date format makes it 2009-07-08.

    Also not significant. ;)

Instead of waking up around 4 AM, you may want to use this lunchtime alternative:

    12:34:56 7/8/9

It doesn’t mean anything either but it does allow one to sleep in.

    :^)

Well… some time ago (February 13, 2009 at 23:31:30 UTC) there was a moment when Unix time was 1234567890 (seconds after 01/01/1970), though you have to be kind of a geek/nerd to notice :)

Area code 978 is a Massachusetts area code. I am sure a baby was born there. It is sure to be the anti-Christ.

    I love it.

Joy Meredith, owner of Crystal Fantasy in Palm Springs, Calif., noticed the alignment, but she’s more focused on this morning’s lunar eclipse, she said.

Actually, a lunar eclipse is cool! I would be more focused on that too, rather than some arbitrary set of numbers. But obviously neither have any supernatural significance.

You are all missing the bigger picture.

Today is the reason 6 is afraid of 7.

    RIP, 9.

    LOL@Nena

This is ridiculous. In Canada we also use the MO/DA/YEAR order but I haven’t seen/heard anything about it in Canadian news.

I’m just surprised you managed to find this gem – I thought all news makers were dedicating 100% of their time and money to the Michael Jackson memorial/funeral/debauchery…

  12. avatar ccubeman Says:

I’m ashamed to say I didn’t get it, until I followed the link.

    Sigh.

  13. avatar ckitching Says:

Put that date into an order that makes sense, and it completely loses any meaning.

    2009-07-08 4:05:06.

Besides, it’s 4 AM, and I was doing the unreasonable — sleeping.

I have a handful of cheques that suggest otherwise :)

We seem to vary between D/M/Y and M/D/Y

‘”It’s a good day to make money and have good health,” she said.’

As opposed to all those bad days to make money and have good health?

Odd. I happened to read this post at exactly 4:05 (pm, but still). IT MUST MEAN SOMETHING!
