But this one in Rhode Island (PDF) looks like it’ll be a blast.
It’s sponsored by Charlie’s Playhouse and it’ll take place in the city of Pawtucket (a mecca for any Family Guy fan) on February 15th.

I’m on the board of the New Orleans Secular Humanists Association and we’re having a social evening on Darwin’s actual birthday, February 12th. We’re having a funny multi-choice evolution quiz in an attempt to educate the public, and of course we couldn’t resist the opportunity to poke fun at creationists. There’s prizes such as Darwin car ornaments, the Origins book, and a British £10 note with Darwin on the back. It’s in a bar called the Monkey Hill. (No Scopes trial connection at all.) Well, since it is right after Valentine’s day, I’ll try to combine celebrations and convince the missus to give natural selection some more fodder.
It’s a fairly academic experience for us, but still and all. If there’s anything worth celebrating, it’s the process that brought us to bear on nature in the first place.
I’m gonna drive over there, considering it’ll take me about 5 minutes. My 3-year-old will get a kick out of it. He’ll be wearing the t-shirt that says “98% Chimpanzee”.
