Baby Bowl

There’s something so wrong about how I am getting several emails telling me about this…

And yet it feels so right.

I now have another item for my Christmas wish list:

Can you imagine how tasty your Cinnamon Toast Crunch would be if it came from that thing?

Or, better yet, why not fill it up with some of these for your next party?

The possibilities are endless… :)

(Thanks to all who sent the link!)

Nice. The inside looks pretty delicious too. But it’s already sold out!

    oh wow!
where can i get one of these?

I was on the phone when I saw this, talking to a friend of mine about red flags in relationships- things you know you could never live with that would make you dump someone. This as the cereal bowl, handed overwith Cheerios and no explanation, would be my red flag.

    Really, Jen?

Because I think if a woman did that, my next thought would be to propose marriage :)

Really, I prefer the “baby face tile” :

Looks like something right out of a horror movie. And it’s supposed to be “cute” ?

Ugh, no – I could never go for something like that. With all those nooks and crannies inside, it must be a bitch to wash up.

  7. avatar The Unbrainwashed Says:

Is there any other frequenter of this website that finds these “eating baby” jokes to be jejune and stupid?!?!?!?

    Thats not a rhetorical question.

  8. avatar jedipunk Says:

    That is just disturbing.

  9. avatar TheDeadEye Says:

    /agree

It doesn’t really gel with the whole “Friendly Atheist” theme:

See, we are nice and friendly with morals, just like you. And we make jokes about eating babies.

  10. avatar Joe L. Says:

    @jedipunk, TheDeadEye –
Yeah, i agree….. this seems to be becoming a trend here. I can think of 3-4 “baby eating” posts in the past couple weeks.

Now, I’m sure we will get jumped all over with “come on, just have a sense of humor guys!!!“, but really, this is not necessary. I already know of one guy who has unsubscribed from this blog because of theses posts. I guess he will essentially take his atheist teddybear and go somewhere else, where they can act like adults and don’t have to revel in how “cool” or ironic it is to perpetuate atheist stereotypes.

  11. avatar Scott F Says:

Yeah, I’m with Joe L. A passing baby reference once in a while might be funny, but that cookie post was just tasteless, and this one is too. This stuff is turning me off from reading your blog, which otherwise has great content.

  12. avatar Debbie Says:

I do not get the fetus/baby eating *jokes* either. They’re gross…I skip them except on this one I wanted to see what others were saying, or if I missed an inside joke somewhere.

  13. avatar Lily Says:

I thought baby-eating jokes were funny even when I was a Christian. I’ve only rediscovered them since becoming an atheist and realizing that I’m not going to hell for laughing at them. Atheists aren’t the only ones who find it funny, nor do I think it’s funny only because it perpetuates an atheist stereotype. It’s funny because it’s funny. Everyone has a different sense of humor; this is just one of Hemant’s quirks that he shares on his site.

  14. avatar Joe L. Says:

Hey, i love baby-eating jokes just as much as the next guy (i mean, my favorite joke throughout high school [when i was a Christian]: “how do you get 20 babies into a shoe box? …. A blender. How do you get them out? …. Chips.” That’s comedy gold baby!).

but, yeah…. the whole “atheists are immoral” as an ironic tactic thing can only go so far before people start to look at the site and say “is that how ‘friendly atheists’ really think?”

  15. avatar ATL-Apostate Says:

This would be good with some Chunky beef stew inside!

    Baby! It’s what’s for dinner.

    The other, other white meat.
