I'd consider it some sort of abuse unless the animals go at it on their own motive which would rule out penetrating pets. Conservatives rule anything they find "ick" as immoral it doesn't have anything to do with God's laws usually. The more adverse they are to something the more likely they're secretly engaged in it. Colbert's persona obviously has a thing for the snakes. It's hugely "icky" to me, I don't really want to know about it. Yet if there's no harm there's no qualm from me. Penn said something about women owning big dogs, lets just say I'm never going near a woman with such a dog from now on.
