Just so everyone knows, in real life Colbert is a religious person. In his interview on Fresh Air, he noted he was by far the most religious person on the Daily Show staff.

Not that this matters to this exciting segment, but a little additional context never hurts. I think he said he’s Catholic.

Lori will be fantastic on the Colbert Report. She’s able to roll with his “punches”, and it should be entertaining to see her do so.

After getting two opportunities to hear Lori speak this summer, I took some time to read more about her work. She’s a principled, charismatic, and enthusiastic person. When all is said and done, she is also one of the people best poised to effect change on the behalf of nontheists.
