What Does That T-Shirt Say…?

It may not be friendly (or PG-13) or atheist-related… but it’s definitely clever.

My friend Roy was wearing this shirt the other day:

I didn’t get it.

It looked Greek.

Then he folded it up a bit…

Hehe :)

I’m easily amused.

That shirt’s brought to you by Razorcake.

I glanced at the picture from my RSS reader and did a double-take. I could have sworn it said “Fuck off”, but when I looked again it was gone. Then I scrolled down. Amazing, that human mind.

You WOULD be easily amused, Hemant. However, that’s why I like you.

I am amused as well. On the topic of what the shirt reveals – I have come up with a cool way to say it to the religious organizations that use banner advertising… I suggest that anytime you see a religious banner or text ad from Google, that you click on it. It costs the group some of their money and it means that there will be one less ad that might suck someone in. For example, if you ever click on the religion category of my blog there is a very high chance that a Scientology ad will appear. If all of my visitors clicked on that ad, dozens to hundreds of ads would get wasted. Imagine if this happened everywhere, the church of scientology (lowercase intentional) would eventually abandon their advertising campaign. Pass this idea on… it could ultimately shut down all religious ads, which I think is a great way to tell those folks to “Fuck Off” indeed!

Reminds me of an ambigram by Kevin Pease. One way, it spells “Have a nice day”.

The same thing happened to me as happened to Rob up there – I saw it in the first glance at the top picture, stared at it for a minute trying to figure out where I had gotten it from, and then scrolled down and discovered where. That was kind of cool.

No “C” in the Greek alphabet.

No “C” in the Greek alphabet.

True, although you do find it as a version of ’sigma’ at the end of words in Byzantine era texts, as in ‘PEKOUNAC’.

Makes me want to look up the history of ‘C’

Wow I actually thought I saw “Fuck Off” then looked closer and it was gone!

    I love clever t-shirts…

Very clever shirt…. and one I wouldn’t mind wearing out in public. It’s innocent enough, much like the “dikfore” shirt a friend of mine used to wear years ago.

When I went on vacation in the Dominican Republic, street vendors were selling these shirts EVERYWHERE. Except they came in the colours of the Dominican flag.
