Just returned from the World Humanist Congress in Washington, D.C.
With the sole exception of printing my boarding pass last night, I just spent four days without using a computer or reading the news.
It was the most wonderful sabbatical ever.
Now, to hell with that.
Back to my normal life

That it was.
Glad to see you made it back safe… hope Brian is doing ok.
Please share what you learned/discussed/etc for those of us who couldn’t go…
What?
You went to a conference and didn’t bring a laptop?
What sort of monster are you?
I’m deeply shaken. I don’t know who you are anymore.
Brought a laptop.
Cursed hotel for charging $10/day for use of said laptop.
Took sabbatical.
$10/day–for what? That’s un-American.
Hemant, can I interest you in some mobile broadband? It’s slightly less expensive than $10/day…
Can I just get the new iPhone next month?
I, too, was in the D.C. area for the past week or so without a laptop. In a week, I checked my email a total of 3 times. It was great.
Now I’m catching up…
