Ask an Atheist Panel

At Minnesota State University Mankato, the Campus Atheists and Agnostics recently hosted an “Ask an Atheist” panel. It’s like an open forum where people (religious or not) can pose questions to a group of atheists in an effort to dialogue and learn a bit more about who we are and what we do (and don’t) believe.

They happened to tape the exchange and you can watch the whole thing on YouTube. The first part is below and the other parts are linked from there.

It’s a bit hard to hear, but if you turn up the volume, you get to see what some campus groups do to increase understanding of the atheist viewpoint:

It seems like they have a similar problem as the group I’m the president of: attendance. I would have thought Mankato would have been a little better. We did something similar earlier in the week, but it was an open forum with the local Christian group, so attendance was great.

Actually, we were getting a lot of response for this event (someone even found us from this site). So much so that we changed to a bigger room at the last minute. But then it turned out that not as many people showed up, and who knows how many we lost because of the room change…
