Because they tell it like it is
Well, almost.
Katie Kish compares me favorably to Sufjan Stevens (yay!) and drugs (umm… yay!?), but she says I probably don’t have a glorious singing voice.
Little does she know I was Colonel Pickering in My Fair Lady in high school.
Or that I had a one line singing solo during a Madrigal dinner once.
One day, when they let me enter Canada, she’ll find this out.
Until then, the wedding is off!
I do appreciate the blog love, though. It’s amazing how some people can completely make my day.
…
On a side note, Katie’s Guelph Skeptics group was just featured in the campus community newspaper! And she recently got Larry Moran to speak to the group. That’s a lot of good work in a very short time. Keep it going!

You have to be kidding. I was Colonel Pickering in my High School performance of My Fair Lady.
I love coincidences like this!

I was higgens mother is my fair lady - but I broke my leg three weeks before the production and ended up having to give away my spot.(But the following year we did “rent” (before the movie came out) and I was maureen, which was a lot more fun).
We’ll have to talk about the wedding being “off”… I don’t think that works for me.
Except that the Guelph Mercury isn’t the campus paper, it’s the city newspaper! But in the city of Guelph, it’s hard to say which has more readers…
Maybe you should consider Karaoke Revolution instead of Guitar Hero for the next meetup
Whoops! It’s corrected. Thanks
But that would expose my li– I mean… umm… yes! Karaoke Revolution it is.
If I’m losing my voice that day, it’s purely coincidental.
