This does confuse me. Why haven't they been bought?

They take EVERYTHING regarding their belief on FAITH yet they cannot have the faith to believe these are the nails. Hmmm.... Disconnect? I think so.

Ah but can you prove that these weren't the very crosses that were put through Jesus' feet and\or hands\wrists? ;)

It's amazing what people will try to sell as authentic. IF there really was a Jesus, all this stuff would have rotted and decayed back into the earth by now. I can't imagine why anyone would want to preserve pieces of the cross. The closest thing to preservation of the dead and items there of were the Egyptians and even then I wonder if they areally did find the skeletal remains of Tut and alike. Maybe they did and maybe they didn't. I seriously doubt that nails and pieces of a cross/tree were on the list of priorities though.

Odd, I didn't realize that railroads were around 2k years ago. The one on the right looks suspiciously like a heavily corroded railroad spike. Hmmmm.

My dad was fond of saying that if every splinter of the “true cross” were gathered together they would amount to enough wood to build the biggest bulding in the world.

I think Hitchens refers to this as well in God in not Great. He says that if all the splinters were gathered, the cross would end up being 10,000 feet tall.

Anyways, I'd rather get a burrito with the Virgin Mary imprinted on it that a bunch of rusty nails. It's a real health hazard!
