And c’mon, I get the Northern Sun catalog; atheists have their cheezy kitsch too.

Some of them I don't like either, but I really like "Beware of dogma" and the one I think I came up with on my own, I don't know anymore "My catma will beat your dogma."

Things that don’t really go better with God:

1. Sex
2. Drinking
3. Film Noir
4. Death Metal
5. Halloween
6. Capitalism

Just speaking personally, I'd beg to differ on at least #1, 2, 4 & 5 (and I'm not a huge fan of #3 in the first place anyway), and I have plenty of anecdotal evidence to back me up. :)

Though I completely agree with #6. God doesn't go well with Capitalism, but then again, neither do things like compassion, social justice, or ecology.

I'm not sure cheezy Jesus stickers count as "propaganda". I think "kitsch" would be a better word for them. And c'mon, I get the Northern Sun catalog; atheists have their cheezy kitsch too. :)

I have put in my two cents on the matter as well, both in the comments on this blog and on my own blog. Here's an older post of mine:

Generally speaking, I find an inverse relationship between militancy and accuracy.

I have and right here on this Hemant's blog, John. I'm an equal opportunist- if I don't like the behaviours, I say something, irregardless if they are atheists or theists.

Just asking and I don't want to offend anyone. Atheists love to write or to say they're comments on religion and god belief (well that includes me) but are there any atheist today that also wrote his/her criticism about atheism? I always find some atheists in Yahoo chat that says their criticism against how atheist becoming too "militant" now a days.

What can you guys say about this issue?

I don't like any of them personally. IMHO, Jesus doesn't give us real peace. It's knowing ourselves and having a desire to bring peace to everyone. It gets deluded with all this crap about Jesus and God. It sounds a bit philosophical and maybe gnostic, but you really have to look within yourself to find inner peace, peace with the world, and alike. Pray might work to calm you, like meditation can, but true peace is not external- it's internal, with or without a belief in a deity.
