		<description>A more suitable recipient of the award defies imagining. It&#039;s easy for me to forget momentarily, living in the US, just how threatened some of the most basic freedoms are in places like the middle east.

It is not a minor evil that the place where civilization began seems to be the most eagerly poised to ruin it.</description>
