I saw Pinker speak about The Stuff of Thought at Cal Tech a few days ago. He was very funny and made the subject interesting and accessible. Well worth it.
Darn! I wish I would’ve gone now. I planned to be there but I got distracted and never made it over.
To be fair, in Brighton you may well do better trying to impress a boy (assuming you’re a boy as well, that is.)
…which is what I’d be doing there, were I not on the other side of the world
