Yeah, it’s easy for non-nerds to confuse Cthulu with illithid. They’re both tentacly mind-destroying beasties and all.

I like the Galactus chick tract, too.
Because of course the mind flayers (illithid) couldn’t be based off of cthulhu or anything… that would just be lame, it’s not like TSR ripped off anything they could get their hands on or anything… aw crap… I just nerded out a little to much.
and… I’m still voting for Cthulhu for president…
