I’d read this poem before and loved it, but it’s so much more effective when you hear Taylor Mali deliver it himself.
I should mention my (official) Speech Team coaching career also starts in two months. Can’t wait.

That’s exciting! My teaching (and debate coaching) career won’t start for another one year and two months. I guess that’s what I get for taking time off to work.
We used one of Mali’s poems during our 1st Annual Slam Poetry Experience here at Rochester College. This particular poem, I feel, is his best. Cheers to the career you have chosen, Hemant.
